Terry Marlon O’Toole, 71, of Sherman, Texas was called home to Heaven on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.
Terry was born December 3, 1951 in Alvarado, TX to John and Marie O’Toole. He was married to Rosie Sharber of Whitesboro on November 8, 1969. They were blessed with 53+ years together. He was a member of Legacy Pointe Baptist Church in Whitesboro, TX. Terry served in the United States Air Force from 1970-1976. He served as a Police Officer for Sherman Police Department for 26 years where he retired as a Lieutenant in 2006. He then served a period of time for Grayson County as a Baliff followed by 5 years for the US Marshall services. He later surrendered to the call of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He and Rosie travelled as evangelists and surrendered to Pastor Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church of Enid, OK October 2014 – January 2019.
Terry O’Toole wore many hats: son, brother, husband, daddy, PawPaw, friend, soldier, policeman, preacher, sound man, carpenter, hunter, fisherman, demolition man. Terry loved people, his family, but the absolute love of his life was Rosie. The only person he loved more was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and he told everyone he met whether he knew them or not.
Terry was preceded in death by his brother Tommy O’Toole, Father John O’Toole, and his mother Marie O’Toole.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53+ years, Rosie O’Toole, son Chris O’Toole and wife Janel, daughter Tonia Walker, and daughter Nina Peyrot and husband Waylon. Grandchildren CJ O’Toole, Jr., Amanda Callahan, Isaiah Callahan with Johnna Green, Ethan Lawson and wife Ashley, Haley Billmeier and husband Matt, Heidi Walker, Peyton Peyrot, and Heath Peyrot. Great grandchildren Violet, Elvis, Orion, Malaya, Malaki, Taylor, Mavrik, Stevie, and one on the way. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Marsh, his brother Mike O’Toole and wife Mary as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services celebrating and honoring the life of Terry will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 13th at Legacy Pointe Baptist Church in Whitesboro, TX officiated by Rev. Joe Patterson. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery with military honors. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday at 1 pm just before services at 2 at Legacy Pointe Baptist Church.
