Wanda Carey Stevens, 69 of Aubrey, Texas passed away on December 26, 2021. She was born on August 31, 1952, in Durant, Oklahoma to Johnie Carey and Joyce Phillips. Wanda married the love of her life, Chris Stevens, on November 8, 1969, in Atoka, Oklahoma.
Wanda was a wonderful cook, loved her family and family traditions. She enjoyed scrapbooking and traveling on cruises with her husband, Chris. Wanda also loved arts, crafts and was an incredible seamstress. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and mimi. Wanda became a Christian in early childhood and most recently was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Her faith was evident to all who knew her.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Chris Stevens of Aubrey, Texas; daughters, Louann Malone and husband, Rodney of Edmond, Oklahoma, Becky Smith and fiancé, Bobby Garrison of Crowley, Texas, Carey Fisher and husband, Scott of Aubrey, Texas; grandchildren, Miranda and Taylor, Baylee, Braxton, Brooks, Ryan, and Leslie; sister, Johnna Jimenez and husband, Tony of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother, Dewayne Carey and wife, Jennifer and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Johnie and Joyce Carey, stepmother, Jo Ann Carey.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Meador Funeral Home, 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville, Texas. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 11:00 am at Meador Funeral Home. Interment will be at 3:30 pm at Tushka Cemetery, Tushka, Oklahoma.
We were saddened to hear of Wanda’s passing. We are thankful that she is with Jesus, but know that you will miss her very much. Our love and prayers for you all.

My heart is heavy with your loss and Heavens gain. Wanda was a special person to me, most especially because she was momma to my sweet friend Louann. She was fun, kind and generous and I see that in her girls constantly. Chris was a mate that truly appreciated his wife like no other. I’m privileged to call them friends.
