Surrounded by her family, Vickie Chisum, 56, of Whitesboro, Texas, was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on June 2, 2021.
Vickie was born on June 17, 1964 in Jacksonville, Arkansas to Keith L. and Clarice (Flower) Christ. Vickie was of the Lutheran Faith. She married Jimmy Chisum on December 31, 2011 in Gainesville, Texas. She worked as a supervisor at Winstar Casino in Thackerville. Vickie enjoyed sports and was once hit by a home run ball at a Rangers game. She enjoyed spending time with her family, being present at all her children’s sporting events and band competitions. Vickie loved her family and loved being with them, especially the grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Chisum of Whitesboro; mother, Clarice Christ; daughter, Leslie Flint of Durant; son, Bart Brunkhurst and wife, Rachael of Aubrey; stepdaughter, Caralyn Oakley and husband, Mark of Germany; stepson, Jared Chisum and wife, Morgan of Sherman; stepson, Jeremy Chisum and wife, Regina of Whitesboro; seven grandchildren, William, Brigid, Charlie, Harley, Alex, Rory and Jaxen; sister, Belinda Christ; sister, Colleen Hickman; mother and father-in-law, James and Carolyn Chisum, sister-in-law, Lisa Simmons; and sister and brother-in-law, Leigh Ann and Butch McKinney; and sister and brother-in-law, , Kim and Jem Mangrum; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
Vickie was preceded in death by her father, Keith Christ, first husband, Ray Brunkhurst, and brother, Leslie Christ.
Memorial services honoring Vickie will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Doyle Henderson. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
