Velma Louise Land, 90, passed away on November 18, 2019.  There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM, on November 21, 2019 at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Ben Willingham will be officiating the service.  Burial will follow at Fairview cemetery.

Velma was born on August 17, 1929, in Gainesville, Texas, to John Clifton Russell and Cynthia Beaver Russell.  She married Arlie Earl Land on May 29, 1952, in Tulare, California.  They were married for 36 years until his passing on September6, 1988.

She graduated from Cobb, Oklahoma (North of Durant, Oklahoma)

She is survived by her cousins.

Velma was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
