December 20, 1938 –  March 30, 2013  THOMAS EDWARD WORSHAM, SR.COLLINSVILLE ? Funeral services for Thomas Worsham, Sr., 74, will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Collinsville United Methodist Church in Collinsville, Texas with Ricky Patterson and Rev. Gene Gordon officiating. Interment will follow the services at Collinsville Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

He passed away on March 30, 2013 at Texoma Presbyterian Health ? WNJ in Sherman, Texas.

Thomas was born on December 20, 1938 to Byron Trussell and Carrie (Tillery) Worsham in Tioga, Texas. He married Dorothy Culpepper on June 29, 1957 in Collinsville, Texas. He was employed at Texas Instruments and Boeing Aircraft, working in electronics. Tom?s life was all about family and children. He dedicated his life to the service of children when his son was born. He was involved in every aspect of his own children?s lives, as well as the lives of their friends. He was at every ballgame, campfire outing by Camp Fire Girls and Boy Scouts, school event, and college event. He loved people. He traveled to weekend trades days for years, making friends wherever he went. He didn?t know a stranger. He loved animals, especially horses. He was instrumental in building the first pace maker at Texas Instruments. He was very electronically inclined. One of the highlights of his life was when his first and only grandson was born on his birthday, as he now shared his birthday with his only grandson. He was a member of the Collinsville ISD School Board, Council of Ministries of the United Methodist Church and was a charter member of the Collinsville Park Board.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Worsham, of Collinsville, TX; son, Thomas Edward Worsham, Jr., and wife, Marva, of Collinsville, TX; daughter, Rikki Evans and husand, Donald, of Collinsville, TX; and daughter, Rhonda Worsham, of Seminole, TX; grandson, Nicholas Evans; sister, Mary Graham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Byron and Carrie Worsham; and his brothers: Raymond Worsham, Bryan Worsham and Richard Worsham.

Pallbearers will be nephews: Bob Worsham, Terry Worsham, Billy Worsham, Billy Don Culpepper and Bruce Plummer, with honorary nephew, A.J. Harris.
