November 11, 1918 –  March 27, 2014  Funeral Services for Sina Armistic Covington, 95, of Gainesville, will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 31st at Meador-Clement-Keel Chapel with Rev. Hollis Parsons and David Beck officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Family visitation will be Monday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Sina passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 at North Texas Medical Center.
Sina was born in Wilson, Oklahoma on the original Armistice Day (now known as Veterans Day), November 11, 1918. Her parents, Hampton and Ellie Camp named her in honor of that historic day. Mrs. Covington was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughters, Genevieve York of Whitesboro, Gloria Sue Morrison and husband, Vernon of Sherwood Shores and Linda Conner and husband, Gary of Sherwood Shores; sisters, Vallie Mae Cecil, Altie Parker and Beatrice DeWayne; brother, Weldon Camp; 14 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Virgil Carriker and William Alfred Covington; daughter, Neva Lee Gilbreath; son, Virgil L.V. Carriker; brother, Roy Camp; sisters, Dorothy Maxwell and Loeta Connely and one grandson.

Services are under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Allen Gilbreath, Jim Gilbreath, Mickael Carriker, William Delton Scruggs, Doyal Wayne Scruggs and Robert Scruggs.
