Royce Wayne Hughes, 86, of Collinsville, Texas was called to his eternal home on Sunday, November 19, 2023.

Royce was born on July 18, 1937 in Ehtel, Texas to Erie and Lucille (Key) Hughes.  He worked in the steel industry as a part of National Steel and for 10 years with Mag-Fab in Howe.  He enjoyed cattle ranching, arrowhead hunting, and he could shoot a penny out of the air.

He is survived by his daughter, Misty Hughes; son, Greg Hughes; daughter, Donna Gressett; grandchildren, Meagan Aviles, Adam Beshears, Chanda Beshears; great-grandchildren, Kinley, Miles, Alaina, Daniel, and Phoenix.

Royce was preceded in death by his parents, Erie and Lucille Hughes, wife, Polly Hughes, and daughter, Patricia Beshears.

Graveside services honoring Royce will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Collinsville Cemetery.  Currently no formal visitation is scheduled.
