November 8, 1949 – August 27, 2008 GORDONVILLE รข??Roger Lane Pierce, 58, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.
Roger was born on Nov. 8, 1949 in Ritchie County, West Virginia to Benjamin McClellan and Wilda Kathleen (America) Pierce. Roger was a U.S. Marine Veteran.
The family will host a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008 at Sherwood Shores Baptist Church with Rev. Wendyl Glenn officiating. Cremation arrangements were made under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
Survivors include his children; Scott Pierce, Kelley Spahr, Austin Pierce, Shawn Pierce and Justin Pierce; Step-children, Elizabeth Witt, Todd and Neal Locke; Siblings,Jean Kidder of St. Mary of West Virginia, Benny Pierce of Clarksburg, West Virgina, Anna Overson of Arlington, Martha Jacobson of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Rose Criss or Marietta, Ohio, Rhonda Cowley of McKinney and Linda Barker of Bandera, several grandchildren and aunts and uncles and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin McClellan Pierce.
