May 2, 1917 –  September 6, 2013  Reba Cleora King of Gainesville passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, September 6, 1913 at North Texas Medical Center.

She was born May 2, 1917 to Sylvia May and C.H. Stanley in Callisburg. Mrs. King was a homemaker and a charter member of Central Baptist Church of Gainesville where she taught Sunday School for many years.

Reba was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Claude “Lavoy” King. She is survived by sons, C.L. King, Jr. and wife, Sandie of Gainesville, Don King and wife, Wanda of Gainesville, Terry King and wife, Beverly of Argyle; daughters, Shirley Meek of Sherman and Christie Wilson and husband Jim of The Colony; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. King will be Monday, September 9th at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Grandsons and granddaughters will serve as pallbearers. Family Visitation will be at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m.
