Raymond Lee Stevens, 89 of Valley View, Texas passed away with his family by his side on March 4, 2024.  He was born on February 14, 1935 in Ceres, California to Thomas Jerry Stevens and Leona Frances (Bocook) Stevens.  Raymond married Nancy Rae Brown in El Paso, Texas on April 24, 1957.  He loved to hunt, wood work, watch his grandkids play sports and his family.  Raymond traveled all across the United States to different Air Force bases.  He was a Mason for over 50 years and a Member of the Era Masonic lodge and also a member of Eastern Star Chapter 1123.  Raymond had a good sense of humor and could fix anything.

Raymond is survived by his sons Steve Stevens and wife, Beverly of Valley View; Walt Stevens and wife, Debbie of Era, Texas; grandchildren, Bradley & Theresa Stevens, Jeffrey & Courtney Stevens, Jay & Rebekah Reed, Danny Stevens, Stephanie Anderle and husband Adrian; great-grandchildren, Tyler Stevens, Samatha Stevens, Ryan Stevens, Baily Reed, Baylor Reed, Wesley and Wyatt, Cole Stevens, & Jake Stevens, several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death, wife, Nancy Stevens; parents, Thomas & Leona; brothers, James Stevens, Walt Stevens, Willard Stevens, Johnny Stevens, Thomas Stevens and sister, Louise and sister, Kathleen; step-great grandchild, Kennedy Reed.

Graveside service will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Valley View Cemetery, Valley View, Texas.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville, Texas from 6:00pm-7:30pm.  Interment at Valley View, Cemetery.
