July 10, 1939 – July 9, 2013 COLLINSVILLE – Funeral Services for Noel Clay Lewter, 73, will be held Friday, July 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Scott Sides, Ricky Patterson and Rev. Keith Byrom officiating. Interment will follow the service at Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation services will be held Thursday, July 11, from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.He passed away on July 9, 2013 at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ in Sherman, Texas.
Noel was born on July 10, 1939 to Dorsey Clay and Dorothy (Wood) Lewter in Gordonville, Texas. He married Jacquita Hughes on August 26, 1960 in Whitesboro, Texas. He was the owner and operator of Lewter?s Cabinet Shop in Collinsville, Texas for 45 years. He and Jacquita were married for 52 years. He was very creative in his wood working. He loved people and he loved life. He enjoyed his hobbies of old cars and antiques. He also loved animals.
He is survived by his wife, Jacquita Lewter, of Collinsville, TX; children: Layne Clay Lewter and his wife, Carrie, of Whitesboro, TX; Gina Noelle Williams and her husband, Jon, of Corinth, TX; and Dorsey Jack Lewter and his wife, Jo, of Collinsville, TX; 5 grandchildren: Justin Clay Lewter and his wife, Alisha; Austin Louis Lewter and his wife, Jennifer; Lucas Layne Lewter and Amber Skelton; Jess Randall Lewter; and Jasmine Lewter; 7 great-grandchildren: Carson, Zander, Brooklyn, Jackson, Isabella, Mackenzie, and Grace; other extended family members: aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorsey and Dorothy Lewter; and his sister, Margie Ann West.
The pallbearers will be Brandon White, Darrin White, Mike Fitzgerald, Carey Dodson, Robert Varley, French Dumas, Billy Dan Johnson, and Gordon Pouch?. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Burch, Roy Adams and Chuck Mills.
