January 17, 1929 –  February 6, 2018  Colorado Springs, Co. – Funeral Services for Myrtle McNally, 89, will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Steve Dyke, Rev. Eddie Lee and David Smith officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 9, 2018.Myrtle passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville, Texas.
She was born on January 17, 1929 to John “Jack” and Fannie (Swartz) Stevenson in Enid, Oklahoma. Myrtle was a long-time resident of Colorado Springs, Co, having moved there in 1991. She was a housewife and mother to son, James Dawley. She grew up traveling the West with her six brothers and sisters; Gene, George, Freddie, Maggie, Lynn and Bulah. She married Leroy Dawley on April 30, 1950 in Dodge City, Kansas and had one son, James Dawley. Leroy passed away at a young age and she married Chris McNally in 1976 welcoming six more children into her family. Myrtle was a volunteer for “American Charities” and active with “Christmas Unlimited” in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was always helping anyone in need.
Survivors include her son, James and wife, Peggy Dawley of Callisburg, grandson, Jerry Dawley of Callisburg and grandson, Clint Dawley and partner Cody Lewis of Hurst.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Fannie Stevenson, husband, Leroy Dawley, husband Chris McNally, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Curry, Gabe Thorndyke, Austin Thorndyke, Cody Stevenson, Cody Lewis and Moses Werner.
