Michael John Kmak, Jr., 80, of Keller, Texas, passed away on January 28, 2019, in Denton, Texas.  The rosary will be recited at Meador Funeral Home on Thursday, January 31, from 6 – 8pm.  A Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Gainesville, Texas, on Friday, February 1, at 2:00 pm. Michael John Kmak, Jr., was born on March 22, 1938, in East Chicago, Indiana, to Michael John Kmak, Sr. and Alvina Misiora Kmak.  He married Donna Rae Will on June 6, 1960, who preceded him in 1989.  Later in 2007, he married Glenda Downen.  Mr. Kmak was a retired Captain of the fire department, U.S. Veteran and Police Officer.  He was proud to be Polish, Member of the NRA and Knights of Columbus.  He was an avid hunter and even rode a bull in the Rodeo. He is survived by his wife; sons, Mike and wife Rebecca Kmak of Garland; Robert and wife Marianne Kmak of Centennial Colorado; Kurt and wife Mary of Ft. Worth; William McCutcheon of Carrollton. Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
