August 14, 1929 –  June 11, 2014  Graveside services for former Gainesville resident, Mary Ann Whitehead will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 16th at New Rest Haven Cemetery, with Rev. Roslyn Eugster officiating. Family visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home. Mrs. Whitehead passed away June 11, 2014 at North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills. She was eighty-four years of age.Mary Ann was born August 14, 1929 in Temple, Texas to the late Granville and Dora (Boney) Maples. She married Elbert Joe Whitehead March 11, 1961 in Killeen, Texas. Mrs. Whitehead had work as an assembler at Weber Aircraft until retiring. She was a member of Mission United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Terry Whitehead and wife, Sarah of Woodbine; daughters, Jo Ann Baloyi of Fort Worth, Barbara Gray and husband, Bob of Florida, Brenda Nwosisi of Lewisville and Debbie Springer of Gatesville; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Earl Springer; one brother and one sister.
