Margaret Rosalie Spence (Neal) formerly of Oil City, PA, joined the Lord Jesus Christ and gained her heavenly wings Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the age of 87 years. Margaret is survived by her children Peggy Ann Sutter and husband John of Flower Mound, TX, Dean Russell Spence and wife Cherie of Gainesville, TX, and Rebecca Jane Snow and husband Stephen of Shawnee, OK. She is survived by her grandchildren, Duane Packard and wife Tracy, Gary Spence and wife Michell, Russell Spence and wife Leslie, Alan Snow and wife Elizabeth, Erin Snow, and Stacey Corneil and husband Ty. She is survived by her great grandchildren, Justin Packard, Megan Stone and husband Michael, Dakota Spence, Cameron Spence, Matthew Spence, Reed Mosley, Dylan Mosley, Aylen Mosley, Dean Spence II, Jeffrey Spence, Alivia Snow, Parker Snow, Matthew Lofton, Stephen Lofton, Madison Corneil, and Hadleigh Corneil. She is also survived by her great-great grandchildren Bryleigh Stone and Brantley Stone, one brother-in-law, four sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Dan Melvin Spence, her parents William Neal and Margaret Burris Neal, her grandfather John Neal, her grandmother Josie Neal, her sister Dillie Knight Robbie, her brother Lester Neal, her sister Lillie Langford, her sister Sewilla Roberts, and her grandson Dean Snow. Margaret Rosalie Spence was born May 4, 1931, to William Neal and Margaret Neal in Oil City, PA. She married Dean Melvin Spence on June 13, 1947, in Pleasantville, PA. They lived in Oil City, PA, where they raised their three children Peggy Sutter, Dean Spence and Rebecca Snow. Both Dean and Margaret served their community with Dean acting as a Venango County Deputy Sherriff and Oil City Fireman and winning the general election for Venango County Treasurer in November 1983. Margaret retired on February 3, 2002, after holding the post for 20 years. She was an avid supporter of the Republican Party throughout her life. She spent the last years of her life living with her children in Texas and Oklahoma. She dedicated her life to Christ, her family, and her community. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Great Grandmother. She was deeply loved and will forever be missed. The Funeral will be Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 2:00pm at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas. Visitation will be Tuesday March 5, 2019, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home. She will be buried in Oil City, PA, with services being Saturday, March 9, 2019. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to your favorite charity.
