Our forever treasured Logan Kelly Harp tragically left us on November 23, 2023. He left behind a loving mother Christa Mathews of Collinsville, TX; father Clayton Harp of Ethel, TX; sister, Nikki Harp and brother, Christian Harp of Collinsville, TX; Grandfather John Mathews of Bowie, TX; Grandmother Catherine Chapman of Gainesville, TX; Grandparents Clayton and Karen Harp of Ethel, TX; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Logan was born May 20, 2002. As a child Logan overcame many medical obstacles due to being born at just 25 weeks gestation weighing 1lb 12oz. He was our miracle child. He loved sports, music, his pets, family, and friends. Logan attended most of his schooling in Whitesboro and loved participating in the band. In his senior year he transferred to Gainesville High School where he graduated in 2021.
After High School Logan aspired to be an electrician. He earned his state board of Plumbing Certification while continuing his desire for the Electrician Certification. He continued his love of music as an adult and could play multiple instruments. His family and friends delighted in his abilities to bring happiness through this talent. He lit up a smile in every room he entered and will be sorely missed.
Services will be held to remember Logan’s brief but beautiful life on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, 10 am at Meador Funeral Home, Hwy 377, Whitesboro, with graveside services to follow at the Collinsville Cemetery. Visitations will be held Tuesday evening, November 28 at Meador Funeral Home.
Logan always knew who he was and what his goals were. He had the most amazing smile that lit up the room. He will be greatly missed.

Christa & family, We’re so very sorry to hear this news about your precious Logan. Words can’t express our sorrow & hurt. We’ve been neighbors since all 3 kids were toddlers. There’s so many great memories we share. I can say Logan had the best Mom ever. U have always been their cheerleader, all your kids, in good times & other times. I only knew Logan for a short time. Logan and I worked together for about 6 months. In the beginning I was told that he was a hard worker and would do everything that was asked of him. He sure stood up to that reputation. Logan will be missed by more than we can imagine. A young life gone too soon. Condolences to the family.

This is for Kelly Harp, my family is so saddened by the tragic of your 1st born son Logan. I’ve already sent message to Christa. But I felt the need to talk to you. I’ve lived across the street from you for years, watched all 3 kids grow up. I remember how proud you were of all the kids. The love you had for Logan shined. He loved doing things with you. You as well as Christa were always their cheerleaders, in good times & not so good.
