June 19, 1945 –  December 1, 2017  Gainesville resident, Linda Louise Fairman Mitchell, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at Denton Presbyterian Hospital at the age of seventy-two. She was born June 19, 1945 in Bryan, Texas to Dan William and Pearl (Winter) Fairman. Linda married James Edward “Jim” Mitchell April 26, 1974. She was employed as an accountant before retiring.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 6th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Rev. Sheila Mack officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mitchell is survived by a daughter, Michele Pearce of Thackerville, Oklahoma; grandchildren, David Pearce, III and wife, Brenda of Thackerville; Meagan and Devin Peter of Oklahoma City, Tyler Johnson of Houston, Cameron Mitchell of Thackerville, Faith and Derrick Meador of Midland and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Dan Fairman, Jr.; daughter, Robbin Mitchell and a grandson, Jayden Huber. http://videos.lifetributes.com/852478
