January 26, 1946 –  November 8, 2017  WHITESBORO – Graveside services for Linda Jean Garner, 71, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro with Ricky Patterson officiating. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. No visitation is planned.Linda passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at her home in Whitesboro.
She was born on January 26, 1946 in Sherman to Noel Harvey Calk and Edna Viola (Fries) Calk. Linda married Allan Garner on February 4, 1967 in Tioga. She worked as a seamstress for Granny Young at Whitesboro Manufacturing for 27 years before retirement. Linda was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed growing roses and sewing. Linda was a very loving and patient person.
Survivors include her husband, Allan Garner of Whitesboro; a son, Noel Garner of Aubrey; a brother, Robert Calk of Tioga; and a sister, Cheryl Gressett of Tioga.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Noel and Edna Calk.
