Linda Ann Whitefield, 77, of Sherman, Texas, formerly of Stephenville, Texas was called to her eternal home on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

Linda was born on November 16, 1946 in Sherman, Texas to Robert Elliott and Ada Lorene (Renfro) Bennett.  She was a graduate of the University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in education and then her master’s degree.  She taught 3rd grade in Strawn, Texas for close to 30 years, where she also played the piano for all the graduation commencement ceremonies.  She and her husband Ronnie spent most of their married life in Stephenville, only relocating to Sherman a few years ago.  While raising their two boys in Stephenville, they lived on a 10-acre property and raised horses, chickens, and quail and the occasional calf along with the dogs and cats. They lived a good rural life full of fun and adventure.  After the boys grew up, she and Ronnie turned to raising goats and they spent about 10 to 15 years as goat farmers.  Linda enjoyed playing the piano and organ, gardening and scrapbooking and genealogy.

She is survived by her son, Tim Whitefield and significant other, Amy Hinze of Arlington; son, Matt Whitefield and wife, Crystal of Cuero, Texas; four grandchildren, Cord, Collins, Cade, and Cannon; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Ronnie Raedell Whitefield and her parents, Robert and Lorene Bennett,

Funeral services honoring Linda will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Meador funeral home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Doyle Henderson.  Interment will follow at Gordonville Cemetery. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
