Kevin Paul Smith, 61, passed away Wednesday October 20th, 2021, at Texoma Medical Center.
Kevin was born on August 28, 1960 to Paul and Reita Smith.
He graduated from Gainesville High School in 1978. After high school, he went to work for Valenite and National Supply. Then he went to work for Smith Feed Store, where he was a dedicated employee for 38 years. Kevin loved his work family and made many friends throughout the years.
He especially loved when his niece, nephews, and great-nephews would come see him at the feed store. Be it gumballs or peanuts, they never left empty handed.
Kevin loved his family, but, his greatest joy was spending time with his niece, nephews, and great-nephews. Having no children of his own, they meant the world to him. He attended, every birthday, every graduation, or special event and always had coins, dollar bills, or favorite toy in hand.
He was a great son, brother, and uncle and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Reita Smith.
He is survived by his brother Darrin Smith and wife Amy Smith; sister Kelly Smith; Niece Tori Hill and husband Jarrid Hill; Nephews Matt Smith and Brandon Smith; Great-Nephews Gage and Gavin Hill.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville, TX.
A service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10:00 am at Fairview Cemetery under the Pavillion.
Pallbearers are: Matt Smith, Brandon Smith, Jimmy Smith, Craig Smith, Tim Camp, Jerry Rauschuber
