Kenneth Wayne Williams, 82, of Whitesboro, TX was called to his eternal home in Heaven on Friday, May 20, 2022.
Kenneth was born on October 5, 1939 in Tioga, TX to Kenneth Kerwyn and Myrtle (Foster) Williams. He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps from 1961 to 1964. He was a Christian man who loved his family tremendously, especially his grandchildren. Kenneth was a true patriot and an avid Trump supporter who enjoyed coin collecting and watching Nascar. He worked in the transportation industry and for Yellow Freight, retiring after 35 years of service. He was a talented man and enjoyed carpentry, plumbing and electrical work, as well as anything mechanical. He enjoyed staying busy and fixing things.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna Williams of Whitesboro; daughter, Tammy Cooper of Eureka, MO; son, Troy Williams and wife, Ewa of Garland; daughter, Kim Morelock and husband, Jack of Sadler; son, Kevin Walton of Whitesboro; son, Kenny Williams and wife, Amy of Argyle; son, Keary Williams and wife, Julie of Whitesboro; grandchildren, Ben, Julian, Ingmar, Brendon, Kaleigh, Brandt, Sara, Krista, Gracie, Reed, Ethan, Britney, and Kason, three great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Myrtle Williams, brother, Billy Williams and grandson, Lars Williams.
The family would like to give a special thanks to; Gregg Hickman and the amazing staff at First Texas Home Health; Carrus Specialty Hospital and staff; Alexis, Jennifer, and Elizabeth with Birdie Hospice; and Lori Jo Casto and staff at Just Like Home assisted living, for the excellent personal care they all gave Kenneth during his lengthy illness.
Funeral services honoring Kenneth will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Legacy Pointe Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Joe Patterson. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. A time of visitation will be held beginning at 2:00 PM on Friday.
I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Williams, but have been so blessed by the friendship of his wonderful daughter Kim Morelock. I am so glad you were able to be together during these past months to support your parents. Sending love and prayers to the entire family during this difficult time.
