January 28, 1908 – January 16, 2008 COLLINSVILLE รข?? Funeral services for Mary Katherine Mullins, 99, will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Collinsville Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
Mrs. Mullins passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Hilltop Haven in Gunter.
Katherine was born in Handley, Texas on January 28, 1908 to Wiley G. Thomas and Bird (Kell) Thomas. She married Felix Cooper Mullins on March 1, 1928 in Handley, TX. Katherine was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. During her life she enjoyed gardening and quilting.
Katherine is survived by her daughter Polly Hughes and husband Royce of Collinsville, and a daughter Dola Russell and husband Wallace of Plano. Grandchildren include Donna Gressett and husband Gary of Collinsville, Greg Hughes of Sherman, Misty Hughes of Collinsville, Richard Russell and wife Sharon of Crandall, Scott Russell and wife Linda of Wylie, LaDawn Walker and husband John of Frisco, and a son-in-law David Beshears of Denison. Great grandchildren include Adam Beshears and wife Lyssa of Oakland, CA, Chanda Beshears of Denison, Meagan Baber of Collinsville, Josh and Jeremy Russell both of Chandler, AZ; Isaac, Benjamin, and Ethan Russell all of Crandall, Tracy Russell of Wylie, Allison and Angella Lees of Frisco, and Jack Walker of Frisco. Also survived are two brothers, Wylie G. Thomas and wife Claudine of Richland Hills, and Glen Thomas and wife Maxine of Cleburne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her husband, and a granddaughter.
Pallbearers are: Scott Russell, Richard Russell, John Russell, Greg Hughes, Gary Gressett, and David Beshears.
