Gordonville – Memorial service for Judith Mary Burton James, 73, of Gordonville, will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Hardwick officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the Chapel beginning at 6:00 PM.She passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Kingston, Oklahoma with her family by her side.

Judith was born on January 30, 1945 In Amersham, England to J.B. Burton and Eileen (Browne) Burton. She worked for Braniff Airlines as a reservation specialist for over 30 years. She spent most of her later years in life taking care of her mother so that she would be with someone who loved her. Judith’s daughter did the same for her. She was a Christian woman. She loved horses, in fact she loved all animals. She enjoyed photography and passed many hours enjoying this hobby.

She is survived by her daughter, Michale Hewlett and husband, Scott of Prosper, daughter, Stacy Smith and husband, Josh of Kingston, grandchildren, Heather Hewlett Potter, Austin Hewlett, Christopher Miller, Ethan Hewlett, Trent Smith and two great-grandchildren, Asher Hewlett and Hattie Potter.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Eileen Burton, brother, James Billy Burton, sister, Elaine Palya, and nephew, Billy Burton.
