Juanette Lexie Jamieson, 98, of Weatherford, Texas (formerly of Whitesboro) was called to her eternal home on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

Juanette was born on June 6, 1925 in Ripley, Mississippi to Pink and Lexie (Caviness) Stroup.  She worked as the activity’s director at Whitesboro Nursing Home for many years.  Juanette was a wonderful seamstress and she loved to paint, and she taught some art classes through the years.

She is survived by her daughter, Teena Williams and husband, Ted of Alabama; grandchildren, Tania Allen, Elizabeth Ann Sullivan, Patrick Lakey and wife, Erin, Robert Jay Lakey and wife, Brandi, daughter-in-law, Kathleen Jamieson, seven great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Juanette was preceded in death by her husband, Mansel Jamieson, parents, Pink and Lexie Stroup, son, Rick Jamieson, sister, Margareet Reed, sister, Hermie Bullock and brother, Lee Stroup.

Funeral services honoring Juanette will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Keith Roland. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro.  A time of visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
