October 22, 1930 –  April 8, 2016  GAINESVILLE – Funeral Services for Joye Marie Pruitt, 85, will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with the Rev. Jordan Johnson officiating. Tyler Pruitt, Chancey Hull, Justin Hull, Monty Pruitt, Tim Pruitt and David Pruitt will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.Joye passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Whitesboro Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Joye was born on October 22, 1930 in Gainesville to Chester Allen Neathery and Minnie Lee (Sparks) Neathery. She married Fred Pruitt on August 19, 1950 in Denton and was a homemaker. She was a member of Harvey Street Baptist Church in Gainesville.
Survivors include three sons, Monty Pruitt of Gainesville, David Pruitt and wife, Gayle of Whitesboro and Timothy Pruitt of Grand Prairie; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sarah McPherson of Dallas; and a brother, William David Neathery of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Pruitt; two sisters, Patsy Jean Anderson and Margaret Lucille Wheeler; and a brother, C.A. Neathery. http://videos.lifetributes.com/691269
