Josephine Finch, 78, of Gainesville, Texas, passed away on September 29, 2018, in Denton, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Gainesville, with Rev. Preston Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at the Meador Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas. Internment will be at Fairview Cemetery.

Ms. Finch was born on April 14, 1939, in Terrell, Texas, to George Finch and Essie A. Jones. She is survived by daughter Brenda Finch of Gainesville; three grandchildren, Joseph Finch of Gainesville; Dinelle Finch of Denton; and Alexis Goodson of North Fork, Virginia; and six great-grandchildren; brothers George Finch Jr. and wife Lula of Marietta, Oklahoma and David Finch of Brookline, Massachusetts; nephew Kerry Dale Finch of Seattle, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Benny Lee Finch, brother Don Ray Finch, sisters Ira Bell Felton and Lillie Frances Finch.
