July 29, 1944 –  April 26, 2016  Celebration of Life Services for Joe R. Cole, 71, of Whitesboro, Texas will be held Thursday, April 28, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Carney officiating. He passed away at his home, Tuesday, April 26th with his family by his side. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Whitesboro, Texas. He was born July 29, 1944, in Corning, New York to John and Jane (Meeks) Cole. He married Gail Richardson April 16, 1965, in Whitesboro, Texas. He was retired from Texas Manufacturing. Joe loved to work in his yard and he also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and entertained them by giving them rides on the riding lawn mower. He is survived by his wife, Gail of Whitesboro; son, Todd and wife, Judy Cole of Whitesboro; Lesli Stewart and husband, Perry of Whitesboro; grandchildren, Loren Kemp and husband, Ronnie of Bowie, Texas, Sam Bussey and fiancé, Kirstin Marsh, Courtney Stewart, Amber, Jeffery Golden and wife, Emily; 4 great-grandchildren, Addison, Kevin, Keisha and Tommy; 2 sisters, Mary Jepsen of Bolder City, Nevada and Sally Payne and husband, Jimmy of Whitesboro; brother, J. B. Cole and wife, Barbara of Lake Kiowa.
