Jim Earl Mefford, 87, of Gainesville, TX passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the Medical Center of Plano.

Jim was born on August 20, 1935, in Seminole, Oklahoma to Odas and Audie (Lyman) Mefford. He married Judy Newman on June 25, 1955, and was married for 60 years prior to her passing in 2015. Jim was in the oil field business manufacturing equipment.

He is survived by his son, Perry Mefford of Rowlett, TX; grandchildren, Heather Stratmann and Daniel Mefford of the Dallas area; and great-granddaughter, Charlie Stratmann.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Mefford; and his parents, Odas and Audy Mefford.

Funeral services honoring Jim will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ron Mefford officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 PM on Wednesday.
