September 4, 1940 –  September 7, 2013  Services for Jerry Wayne Mitchell, 73, of Collinsville, Texas, will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Kersey officiating. Burial will follow at the Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Jerry was born to Woodrow Mitchell and Nadine (Cox) Mitchell in Collinsville, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Collinsville, Texas. Jerry was a carpenter by trade and spent his lifetime working. He loved to eat candy and was very devoted to his family. He was a generous and good hearted man with many friends.
He is survived by his four daughters: Suzan Heydenreich and husband, Wade of Muenster, Texas; Carrol McKnight and husband, Jerry of Collinsville, Texas; Jennifer Tipps and husband, Chris of Sanger, Texas; and Kristil Mitchell of Searcy, Arkansas; a son, Robert Mitchell of Brownwood, Texas; 20 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren; one brother, Alan Ray Mitchell and one sister, Connie E. Webb.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Woodrow and Nadine Mitchell; 2 brothers; Ricky Dale and Ronnie Mitchell; and a son, Johnathan Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be Josh Hickman, Jake Hickman, Robert Mitchell, Jr., Kendrick Mitchell, Brandon Tipps and Tanner Tipps.
