Ms. Jennie Que Day, 89, died Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the Brookdale Holiday Lane Assisted Living in North Richland Hills, Texas. Services will be held on, Friday, May 25, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Rosston Baptist Church. Officiating the service will be Rev. Ronnie Conyers and Rev. Doyle Henderson. The funeral home will be open until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening for viewing and signing the memorial book although the family will not be present.
Jennie was born on November 17, 1928, in Rosston, Texas, to Charles Cleveland Henderson and Essie Mae Stevens Henderson.
She met David Marshall Day and they were married on January 19, 1947, and their story continued for 71 years until her death. They were blessed with 3 children, daughters, Dixie Leach and husband Terry of Colleyville, Texas; Vicki Duncan of Hurst, Texas; and son Darryl Day and wife Gina of Bedford, Texas. Jennie’s favorite pastimes were reading, cooking and sewing.
Mrs. Day is survived by her husband, children, 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, brother, Doyle Henderson and wife Lisa of Whitesboro, and sisters, Cleva Akin of Chandler and Ferne Cloud of Rosston. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Carl, Jack and Roland Henderson.
