Janie Sue Parsons 85, of Lindsay, Texas passed away on February 12, 2024.  She was born in Van, Texas to Charlie and Loyce Martin on August 1, 1938.

Janie worked as a secretary for Kaler Oil Company.  She loved her family and taking care of them.  A few other things she enjoyed were going on family vacations, providing for her family and loving on her animals.

Janie is survived by sons, Jeff Parsons and wife, Amber; Kevin Parsons and David Parsons; grandsons, Derek Parsons and Blake Parsons.

Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Parsons; brothers, Perry and Charlie Jr.; and her parents.

Funeral service will be held Friday, February 16, 2024 at 10:00am at Meador Funeral Home, 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville, Texas. Service will be officiated by Brother Hollis Parsons.  Visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 6:00pm-8:00pm also at Meador Funeral Home.  Interment will follow service at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville, Texas.
