March 4, 1914 –  April 10, 2014  J. A. “Dock” Blevins, 100, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Gainesville Health and Rehab Center. Dock was born in Milo, Oklahoma March 4, 1914 to Laura and Jack Blevins. He was married to Virlie Marie Jones for 63 years, who passed away in 1997. Mr. Blevins worked in the oilfield, as a pumper before retiring.
There will be a graveside service 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 14th at Wilbarger Memorial Park in Vernon Texas under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Diana Blevins of Vernon; daughter, Patsy Anderson of Lubbock; son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Sara Blevins of Gainesville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and twelve siblings.
