Hulena Gravette Clounch, age 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Avalon Memory Care Facility in Arlington, Texas.
Hulena was born on April 10, 1934 in Grayson County, Texas to Hullon Gravette and Zada Findlay Gravette. She married Marion E. Clounch on August 10, 1950, in Rockwall, Texas. They moved to Dallas and raised two daughters, Rhonda Lee Veltman and Tronnia Jean Smith. Over the years they moved to Duncanville and Canton, Texas and eventually retired in Whitesboro, Texas. They were blessed with 6 grandchildren, Brittany Veltman Harmon, Shawn Veltman, Scott Veltman, Jay Bird, Chase Smith and Cole Smith, and 12 precious great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion, mother, father, and 3 sisters, Clemmia Rose Sizemore, Delphene Coulson, and Lee Colwell.
An extremely devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Hulena enjoyed serving her church and community. She was an excellent cook, immaculate housekeeper and enjoyed sewing, working in the yard, and visiting and caring for the sick and elderly. Hulena was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was born with a servant’s heart and everyone who knew her loved her. She will be missed by so many.
Pallbearers are Jay Bird, Chase Smith, Cole Smith, Dominick Bird, Jeremy Harmon and Rhett Harmon.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas, officiated by Mark Coulson. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery. No Formal visitation is scheduled.

I have so many memories of Sweet Hulena. She blessed us all with her heart for others.
What a blessing this sweet woman was. She definitely had a Christian heart and you could tell by how she lived and lived. She truly lived like God wanted her to. What a joy it is to know she is now healed and with her Lord and Savior and her loving husband and parent and sisters. RIP sweet lady.
