June 12, 1951 –  September 29, 2014  Tioga – Glenn Thomas Hastings, 63, passed away on September 29, 2014 in Sherman, Texas. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. A private memorial service was planned by his family.Glenn was born on June 12, 1951 in Olean, New York, and he was raised by his mother and step-father, Dorothy and Willis G. Ripley. He was of the Catholic faith. Glenn served his country for 20 years in the U. S. Navy. He loved baseball cards and football cards. He enjoyed music and was a former D. J. He was a good father to his children and an awesome grandpa and great-grandfather, who loved being a grandfather, to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Sue Shannon and husband, Steven C. Scott, of Tioga; daughter, Georgia Tara Petro of California; grandchildren: Alyssa, Bridget, Samantha, Dylan, Sean, Daniella, and Sierra; great-grandchildren: Cooper, Waylan, and Jordan; sister, Madeline Tranter of Florida; and brother, Peter Hastings of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert Hastings.
