George Washington Miller, 75, of Sherman, Texas was called to his eternal home on Friday, April 16, 2021.
George was born on January 5, 1946 in Ada, Oklahoma to Harry Clyde and Willie Faye (Billings) Miller. He worked as a welder for Kaiser Aluminum for over 20 years. George married Sharon Wilson on July 2, 2004 in Whitesboro, Texas. He was of the Baptist faith. George loved to sing and play the guitar. He enjoyed watching the Houston Astros and keeping up with the news. He had a great sense of humor and a love for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Miller of Sherman; daughter Melissa Miller of Austin; daughter, Jaime Vannoy of Sadler; grandson, Chandler Vannoy of Sadler, sister, Joy Lou, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Willie Faye Miller, sister, Lucille Stephenson, brother, Johnny Miller and brother, Harold Miller.
Graveside services honoring George will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Sadler Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Sam Moore. No formal visitation is scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
