Gene Ray Henry, 71 of Mountain Springs, Texas passed away on January 31, 2024, at his home.

Gene was born on March 13, 1952, in Gainesville, Texas.  He was the only son of Alvin and Connie Henry Sanders, both deceased.  He married Monica (Gieb) Henry on August 30, 1999. Gene attended elementary school in Ft. Worth, Texas and graduated from Pilot Point High School in 1970 with some college experience.  Following high school Gene joined the Air Force and served from1971-1973.  He has worked in construction and manufacturing but is best known for his musical talents.  He was an accomplished guitar player and musician.  He has been a part of many different types of bands, also giving this the opportunity to travel to many areas.  His house building and carpentry skills lead him to build the retirement home of him and his wife’s dreams in 2001.  He and his wife have lived in the Dallas and Austin areas for many years and moved back to Mountain Springs area in the year 2000.

Gene is survived by his wife, Monica Henry and sister, Vickey Lynn Henry.
