November 5, 1910 –  July 9, 2005  Frederick C. Verinder, 94, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2005, in Sherman, TX. He was born in Newark, NJ, on November 5, 1910, to William and Louise Verinder who arrived in America in 1907 from Anerley, England.
In 1931, Fred began working for Prudential Insurance Co in Newark, NJ, his tenure was interrupted by service in the US Navy in WW II. After the war, he returned to Prudential to work in Newark, NJ, Houston, TX, and Jacksonville, FL, where he retired in 1970. Upon his retirement, Fred enjoyed fishing, baseball (a devout Boston Red Sox fan), golf, and traveling to Alaska, Caribbean, Bermuda and many other places.

Fred was a faithful husband to Marie Verinder for 49 years as well as a wonderful dad to Dick Verinder and wife Jane of Chappell Hill, TX, and Dave Verinder and wife Karen of Whitesboro, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Louise Verinder and by his grandson, Freddy Verinder.

Surviving grandsons are David Verinder Jr. and wife Monica of Belton, TX, Mark Verinder and wife Erin of Baton Rouge, LA, Danny Verinder and wife Audra of Cypress, TX, Mike Verinder and wife Joanie of Allen, TX, Tim Verinder and fiancée Brooke of Spring, TX, and Joel Verinder and wife Claire of Alexandria, VA. Surviving great-grandchildren are Hayden, Haley, Kayla, Nick, Payton, Caleb and Gavin.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, July 13, at 10:00 A.M. at the West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, TX. Memorial Contributions can be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County, P.O. Box 2306, Sherman, TX. 75091
