November 7, 1924 –  January 22, 2013  COLLINSVILLE ? Funeral services for Florence Mae ?Flossie? Culpepper, 88, will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Ricky Patterson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Collinsville Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home. Family visitation will be on Thursday, January 24, from 7-8 p.m., at the funeral home.She passed away on January 22, 2013 at her residence in Collinsville, Texas.
Flossie was born on November 7, 1924 in Collinsville, Texas to Charles Jacob and Rebecka (Gillium) Carney. She married Merzon Culpepper on August 21, 1943 in Collinsville, Texas. She was an active member of the Good Timers Dance Club in Whitesboro, Texas and was in charge of the refreshments for the last 15 years. She loved to dance. She was of the Baptist Faith. She loved hunting: deers, turkeys and bears. She also loved to fish. She loved being outdoors.
She is survived by her husband, Merzon Culpepper, of Collinsville; daughter, Camelia Rose and husband, Dickey, of Duncanville; son, Bil Culpepper, and wife, Kay, of Trinity; granddaughters: Robin Eakins, and husband, James, of Grand Prairie; and Lorrie Stangl and husband, Arthur, of Duncanville; great-grandson, Jake Stangl, of Grand Prairie; great great-grandson, Braden, of Mansfield; sisters: Wanda Pearson of Whitesboro; and Juanita Vannoy of Sadler; and brother, C. J. Carney, of Collinsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Rebecka Carney; and sister, Faye Ragsdale.
