December 15, 1941 –  June 22, 2013  Gainesville resident Emmett H. Tatum, Jr. died Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Medical Center of Lewisville at the age of seventy-one. Emmett was born in Gainesville, Texas December 15, 1941, to Nita (Odam) and Emmett H. Tatum, Sr. He served in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1969.

Mr. Tatum is survived by a daughter, Melissa Brooks and grandson, Toshirro Pablo Rocky Brooks of Cranston, RI; sister, Frances Russell of Collinsville and brothers, Jerry and Ron Tatum of Gainesville.

Cremation is under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home. No services are planned.
