August 31, 1942 –  November 21, 2015  A Mass of Christian Burial for Edward C. Krauss, Sr., 73, of Whitesboro, will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Whitesboro, Texas, with Rev. Antonio Aureus officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday at Meador Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. He died Saturday, November 21, 2015, at his home with his family by his side. Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, Texas, is in charge of arrangements. He was born to Edward George Krauss and Florence Kazlauskas on August 31, 1942, in Bronx, New York. He married Barbara Ruth Ranges on November 17, 1962, in Westwood, New Jersey. He was a bus diesel mechanic for 37 years for 2 bus companies, one in Westwood, NJ and one in Denver, Colorado, having retired in 1999, and moving to Texas. He served 5 years as a volunteer fireman in Westwood, New Jersey before moving to Colorado in 1977. He was a member of St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church of Whitesboro. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Krauss of Whitesboro, daughter, Debra Davis and husband, Scott of Whitesboro; son, Edward C. Krauss, Jr. and wife, Alyssa of Oak Ridge; granddaughters Brittany Davis, Courtney Davis and Gabrielle Krauss and grandson, Kris Davis; step-grandson, Michael Langford; sister-in-law, Linda Barcelona and husband, Bob of Newton, NJ and 2 nephews and 6 nieces. Pallbearers will be Scott Davis, Edward Krauss, Jr., Kris Davis, Bob Barcelona, Scott Greisen and Zach Greisen.He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Florence Krauss and brother, William F. Krauss.
