February 5, 1946 –  September 4, 2017  COLLINSVILLE – Funeral services for Don Logan Underwood, 71, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Byrom and Rev. Jason Kovacs officiating. Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the funeral home. Don was born on February 5, 1946 in Whitesboro, Texas to D L and Mary (Yowell) Underwood. He married Vickie Lynn Matlock on August 26, 1965 in Collinsville, Texas. Don served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He had many ventures in life, he was a cattleman, truck driver, horse trader and a real estate investor.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Vickie Underwood; 3 daughters, Donita Byrom and husband, Keith of Collinsville, Kristie Bowling and husband, Rick of Collinsville and Shawnda Kovacs and husband, Jason of Austin; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
