February 5, 1961 – December 14, 2011 DANIEL KELLY ADAIR, born February 5, 1961, to Harry and Collene Adair in Grundy Center, Iowa, passed away suddenly December 14, 2011, at age 50.
He is preceded in death by both his parents. Dan is survived by his children, Jody Daniel Adair and Ryan Mackenzie Adair; brother Bruce Adair of Grundy Center, Iowa,; brother Darryl Adair of Horseshoe Bend, Texas; sister Marsha Adair Burney and brother-in-law, Sammy Burney of Center Point, Texas; sister Laurie Adair White of Lewisville, Texas; sister Janis Adair Rowe and brother-in-law Keith Rowe, of Plano, Texas; many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
Dan was the â??babyâ? of the family, with two older brothers and three older sisters who doted on him. His large extended family loved his big brown eyes and huge dimples, his fun loving antics, quick wit and unlimited humorous jokes and stories.
His family moved to Gainesville in 1969 and Dan graduated from Gainesville High School in 1979. He had numerous friends, many of whom he knew for forty years. Dan worked most of his life in the oil industry, transporting crude oil and other petroleum products across Texas and the country. Companies he was employed by include Halliburton, Koch Enterprises, Kimrad, and Enterprise Companies. He had transferred in 2011 to Deering, North Dakota and enjoyed his new life there.
Dan’s sense of humor, zest for life and positive outlook will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.
A Memorial Service will be held at Clement-Keel Funeral Home in Gainesville 10:00 a.m. December 29, 2011, followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visitation which will be held at the KC Hall in Gainesville, immediately after the services.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.
