Charlie Hernandez, 61, of Collinsville, Texas was called to his eternal home on Saturday, September 11, 2021.
Charlie was born on August 6, 1960 in Cee Vee, Texas to Mike and Dominga (Vitela) Hernandez. He worked as a carpenter by trade, and this enabled him to indulge his passion for wood working. Charlie was a hard-working man, he loved what he did in life. He was a loyal friend and a great and loving father to his daughter. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Hernandez of Runaway Bay; sister Rosie Abrego and husband, David of Collinsville; sister, Betty Hernandez of Gainesville; brother, Johnny Hernandez and wife, Vivian of Collinsville; and brother, Bobby Hernandez and wife, Patricia of Childress; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Dominga Hernandez, brothers, Frank, Joe, Mike Jr. and Raymond Hernandez, and sisters, Mary Ragsdale, Espanaza Hernandez, and Maria Hernandez.
A memorial service honoring Charlie will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Rick Carney. At this time no formal visitation is scheduled
