Bobbie Gwendolyn Huff, 85, of Whitesboro, Texas slipped into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 27, 2020.
Gwen was born on July 21, 1935 in Ralls, Texas to Perry and Celes Anthony. She married her husband of 65 years, Gene Huff in Denton, Texas on May 28, 1955, after a whirlwind three-month courtship. Together hand in hand and with God as their focal point they built a life for themselves and their 3 children. Gwen was a true servant of the Lord; she and Gene volunteered many hours and years of their life to the under privileged children in the world by providing free dental care to them. She traveled all over the world to help others and to bring the light of Jesus to others. Gwen was fiercely protective of and completely loyal to all those she loved, whether family or friends. She would go out of her way to help anyone that needed her. She prayed continually for those she loved and cared for. Her family was her greatest pride and joy.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Huff of Whitesboro; daughter, Kathy Park and husband, Brad of Whitesboro; son, Bo Huff and significant other, Renee Leslie of Houston; grandchildren; Ashley Gibson and husband, Shane; Aaron Park and wife, Julie; Micah Kniss and husband, Josh; Jordan Huff and wife; Britney; six great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Chris Huff of Oklahoma; as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Celes Anthony, son, Perry Huff.
The family would like to thank Dr. Benson and staff for their loving, compassionate care for our family for the last 40 years. God bless him and his staff, praying for God to give them strength and protection during these days. Psalm 91 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a] 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in her honor to the Arf House at 3377 Spalding Rd., Sherman, TX 75092.
A private family graveside service honoring Gwen will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Mike Flanagan. The family will schedule a memorial service for her at a later date. Graveside services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
We were so sorry to hear of Gwen’s passing. She was such a kind and gracious lady. May the Lord hold you all close and comfort you.

Our precious Gwen is home at last! She and Gene have been the guideposts for us in our marriage, setting an exemplary example of what a Christian marriage should be. We will miss her and will be lifting the entire family in prayer in the days to come. While she leaves a hole in our hearts, we know that “to live on in the hearts of those we love is not to die.”
With much love,
Darlene and Glenn Moore

What a loss to all of us who loved (and will always love) her…from a loving cousin…Phil (and wife Beverly).
I began as an employee many years ago but became family with Gwen & Dr. Huff. Gwen will forever hold a special place in my heart as an example of a truly God fearing Christian and just a wonderful soul. I will miss her here but look forward to our reunion when the time comes. Love you!
Gwen was a much loved cousin of the Anthony family. She will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with the rest of her family during this time of loss.
Dr. Huff My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Gwen was such a wonderful, loving and giving lady and was a blessing to all that knew her.
I am so sorry to hear about Gwen’s passing. She was a beautiful lady who always radiated Christ’s love wherever she went. Absence here only means presence with Jesus! How glorious for her, but sad for us! I have no doubt that Gwen will be greeting many friends and family at the gates of our eternal home when we pass through this temporary earthly home. Prayers for all her family and friends.
Always remember you didn’t lose your mom! You know where she is! She will be waiting for her precious family!
Mrs. Gwen will sure be missed! What a wonderful lady she was. I enjoyed being able to visit Mrs. Gwen and Dr. Huff as a child at the dental office. A lot of memories that I will never forget. Prayers for Dr. Huff and his family.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and I know they will miss her dearly. She is with her Father now and is in no pain. With a new body. She was a happy face each time I saw her and she always spoke. Love flows from dear ones as she. God Bless.
