Billie Kathryn “Kay” Price, 65, of Whitesboro, Texas was called to her eternal home on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
Kay was born on October 23, 1955 in Sherman, Texas to Delbert and Bobbie (Knight) Smith. She married Billy Gene Price in Trenton, Texas on October 8, 1983 and they celebrated 37 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2020. Kay attended Ouachita Baptist University where she received her degree in education and TWU where she received her master’s degree. She went on to teach thousands of children over the 37 years she taught public schools, retiring from Whitesboro ISD after 30 years of service to the children of this community. She loved her family, especially her daughter Courtney and her little dogs. Kay was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Courtney Price of Whitesboro; nieces, Terri Wagner of Forney; Missy Green of Mead, OK; Kelly Magbee of Durant, OK, nephew, Bryan Thomas of Royce City; brother-in-law, Leroy Thomas of Royce City; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gene Price, parents, Delbert and Bobbie Smith, sisters, Pamela Thomas, and Patricia Magbee.
Graveside services honoring Kay will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Oakwood Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Rick Carney. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.

Courtney I am so sorry for your loss. I will truly miss Kay. She always called me on my birthday even after I retired from school. She was a sweet person and always had a big smile whenever I saw. May God give you comfort as only He can.
