Ronald Keith Sellman, Sr. passed away on March 26, 2022, surrounded by his family. Ronald was born on June 14, 1935, in Martinsville, Indiana to William Jennings Sellman and Thelma Irene Sosbey. He married Marjorie Marian Pint in California on February 14, 1958. Ronald served our country in the US Navy proudly from June 17, 1952, to June 6, 1956, and inactive reservist as 2nd Class Machinist Mate until July 19, 1959.
Ronald also served on the Board of Directors of Gainesville, Texas “Medal of Honor Host City”. He loved hunting, fishing and golfing. Ronald was also a Mason. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and loved to tell jokes.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Marjorie Sellman of Gainesville, Texas; son, Ronald Sellman Jr. and wife, Karen of Callisburg, Texas; grandchildren, Kristina Beck of Gainesville, Texas and Jacob Sellman of Anna, Texas; great-grandchildren, Elisabeth Beck and Emily Beck.
Preceded in Death by parents, daughter, Marjorie Sellman II, sister, Patricia Brenam and brother Thomas Edward Sellman. Also, preceded by his beloved dog “Pepper”.
Visitation will be held at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville, Texas on Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 pm. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery.
