June 29, 1926 –  January 17, 2013  WHITESBORO ? Funeral services for Willie T. Crook, 86, will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Rick Carney officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation services will be Friday, January 18, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He passed away on January 17, 2013 at the Whitesboro Health and Rehab Center in Whitesboro, Texas.

Willie was born on June 29, 1926 in Hagerman, Texas to Dall H. and Sarah (Jones) Crook. He married Ruby Fairchild on June 10, 1944. They were married until her passing in 2007. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitesboro and a member of the Masonic Lodge #263 A.F. & A.M. in Whitesboro. He served his country during World War II as a member of the U. S. Army. He was stationed in Oahu, Hawaii. He retired from Vought Aircraft in Grand Prairie, Texas after 31 years of service in May 1982. He enjoyed woodworking and family events.

He is survived by his daughters: Pam Laney and husband, Clarence, of Whitesboro, TX; and Tamela Rider and husband, Douglas, of Whitesboro, TX; one grandchild, Becki Murray and husband, Jeff; brother, Claude Crook and wife, Lowaine, of Whitesboro, TX; sisters: Martha Garvin and husband, Ronnie, of Pottsboro, TX; and Shirley Ann Whites and husband, Jim, of Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dall and Sarah Crook; his wife, Ruby (Fairchild) Crook; three brothers and two sisters.
