January 24, 1935 –  July 24, 2014  GAINESVILLE – Funeral services for Wanda Lucille Hall, 79, will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., in the First Baptist Church in Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Mike Flanagan officiating. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City, Oklahoma with Rev. Russell Duck officiating. All service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. There will be no formal visitation services.She passed away on July 24, 2014 in Gainesville, Texas in the North Texas Medical Center.
Wanda was born on January 24, 1935 in Berlin, Oklahoma, to John Robert Moorehead and Rosella (Valentine) Moorehead. She was a regional speaker for Christian’s Women’s Club. Wanda founded the Historical Society in Memphis, Texas, saving the Presbyterian Church for restoration. She served on the Museum Board in Elk City, Oklahoma. Wanda loved her horses and enjoyed painting. She loved her dog, Bandit.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Leon Hall of Lake Kiowa; son, Phillip Hall and his wife, Stacie of Lake Kiowa; son, Mark Hall of Dallas; and son, John Hall and wife, Que, of Arlington; grandchildren: Jacob Hall, Savanna Hall, Elizabeth Johnson and husband, Matthew; Luke Hall; Christy Town and husband, Charles; and her sister, Murlene Kramer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rosella Moorehead.
