May 3, 1948 –  April 26, 2008  WHITESBORO- Graveside Services for Velma Jewel Stuckey, 59, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Sandusky with L.D. Byrd officiating. Services will be directed by Meador Funeral Home.

Velma passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008 at her residence in Whitesboro.

She was born May 3, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to John and Jessie (Lunsfurd) Gamble. Velma married Andy Stuckey on July 24, 1965 in Dallas, Texas. She and Andy owned Stuckey Auto Repair in Sherman.

Survivors include a son, Brian Stuckey and wife Krystal of Davis, Oklahoma, two daughters, Ginger Ernst of Whitesboro and Angie Laird and husband Danny of Whitesboro, grandchildren: Kirstin Reed, Dylan Ernst, Kylin Lemons, Ryan Stuckey and Kyle Stuckey;two sisters, Judy Blaylock of Tyler and Patsy Gamble of Sherman, three brothers John Gamble of Tyler, Johnnie Gamble of California and Michael Gamble of Whitesboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Stuckey, and her parents, John and Jessie Gamble.

In lieu of flowers, a trust has been arranged at the American Bank of Texas in her name.
