August 13, 1933 – December 25, 2008 GORDONVILLE รข?? Funeral services for Robert Julius Bolden, 75, will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 29, 2008 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Elder Jerry Cottrell and Thomas McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the funeral home.
Mr. Bolden passed away on December 25, 2008 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.
Robert was born on August 13, 1933 in Memphis, TN to Alonzo and Grace Bolden. He married Lawana Pearl Roberts on November 23, 1974 in Wichita Falls. Robert retired from the United States Air Force as a TSGT E6. He also was a minister, a plans estimator and a professional musician. Robert was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church of Sulpher, OK.
Survivors include his wife, Lawana Bolden of Gordonville; 4 daughters, Kathy Rule of Wichita Falls, Pam Listrude of Belle Plain, MN, Robin Duran of Wichita Falls and Teresa Noble of Princeton; a son, Randy Tucker of Gordonville, 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alonzo Bolden; mother and step-father, Roy and Grace Powers, a brother, Charles Bolden and a son, William L. Bolden.
Pallbearers are: Thomas McDonald, Vernon Johnson, Owen Rushing, John Clark,s Shorty Wainscott and Wayne Howell.
Honorary pallbearer is Ron Sylvia.
